Apply To Become An Agent

National Institute of Science (NIS) will engage only reputable education agents to recruit overseas students. NIS will regularly monitor agent activities to ensure they uphold the reputation and integrity of Australian education.

NIS requires education agents to:

  • Declare in writing and take reasonable steps to avoid conflicts of interest with their duties as an education agent of NIS.
  • Observe appropriate confidentiality and transparency in all dealings with overseas students or intending overseas students.
  • Act honestly, in good faith, and in the best interests of the student.
  • Maintain current knowledge of Australia’s international education framework, including the Australian International Education and Training Agent Code of Ethics, the ESOS Act, the National Code, relevant Migration legislation, and the Migration Agents Code of Conduct.

AGENT ENGAGEMENT PROCESS

  1. Complete Agent Application

  2. Initial meeting with NIS staff

  3. Reference checks conducted by NIS

  4. Execute Agent Agreement

  5. Ongoing performance monitoring & surveys
