Entry requirements:

NIS has the following entry requirements:
• Minimum completion of Australian Year 12 secondary school education equivalent or above.
• Be 18 years or over
• Be competent in written and spoken English with an IELTS Score of no less than 6.0 or equivalent language test score or equivalent
• Participate in a suitability interview prior to enrolment and be able to demonstrate an enthusiasm and ability to undertake this qualification, with the recommendation being made by the interviewer to the CEO and/or nominee who will make the final decision

Materials and equipment required:
As part of the qualification, all students are required to bring their own laptop with Office 365 (or similar program) to access learning resources, work on assessments and complete tasks for unsupervised study. Students must have an active email address for communication and be contactable by phone (mobile or landline) and by mail (postal address).

Unsupervised study hours:
There is an extra 5 hours per week programmed outside of 20 scheduled contact hours where you revise and practice to reinforce classroom learning. Some people will move more quickly through the material and others may take a bit more time depending on your confidence in the topics.

RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING (RPL) AND CREDIT TRANSFER (CT) information
RPL and credit transfer (CT) can be applied for at the time of enrolment and the original or certified copy must be provided. A fee is payable for assessing your RPL status or processing your credit transfer, please refer to our price lists in the handbook and website. If credit is granted, international students may have their course and visa shortened.
